Bundesliga Team of the Week: Lewandowski & Ribery in top form

Bundesliga Team of the Week: Lewandowski & Ribery in top form

Borussia Dortmund's nightmare season went from bad to worse on Saturday, when they let a two-goal lead slip at Paderborn and lost star forward Marco Reus until 2015 through injury, as arch rivals Bayern Munich thrashed Hoffenheim 4-0 and Schalke held on for a 3-2 win over Wolfsburg.

Manuel Neuer is the first man to make Goal's Team of the Week as he made saves from the likes of Kevin Volland, Anthony Modeste and Adam Szalai to keep a clean sheet at the Allianz Arena.

Benedikt Howedes gets the nod at right-back after he helped to save Schalke from the ignominy of thorwing away a three-goal lead against Wolfsburg Omer Toprak was key to Leverkusen's 3-1 win at Hannover, Niklas Sule shone in Hoffenheim's leaky defence and Bastian Oczipka led Eintracht Frankfurt to an impressive victory over Borussia Monchengladbach.

Karim Bellarabi was on target for B04, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opened the scoring for BVB and set up Marco Reus' goal later on. Marc Stendera netted his first goal of the season for Frankfurt and Franck Ribery looked to be back to his best in a destructive performance at the Allianz Arena.

Maxim Choupo-Maxim got Schalke off to a flying start at the Veltins Arena with two early goals and Robert Lewandowski was key to Bayern's victory, netting their second just before half-time.
