enough for them to finish above the Catalan giants but the coach wants
to see his team make a statement in the match
PSG currently lead the pool and a point in Catalunya on Wednesday will be enough for Blanc’s men to enter the knockout stages as one of the eight top seeds.
The former France coach said: "It would be a very important game if qualification depended on it but we are both qualified.
"The leading position is important. First or second is not the same thing but the game is going to be complicated.
"It is well known the advantage gained by finishing in first place to avoid certain potential opponents for the next round.
"These are small details but it counts. We need to have ambition in this game, in everything that we do. We have to be aggressive and embarrass them when we have the ball."
Blanc knows it will be difficult, however, against a Barca side for whom Lionel Messi is in wonderful form, having scored three hat-tricks in the last four games in all competitions.
"Tomorrow we play against a team that, in terms of quality, is the best," he added. "If you get a good result in Barcelona it shows you have played a good game.
"We know what to expect. When we have the ball we must try to develop our game and when we don’t we have to defend well.
"Tomorrow it will be clogged in midfield. We must try to cover all areas of the field, especially the left side because, in my opinion, this is where danger number one from Barca lies, namely Messi."
