1. Pedro (Chelsea)
A week certainly is a long time in football. Last Monday, Pedro played what turned out to be his final game for Barcelona but, rather than signing for Manchester United as expected, he ended up at Chelsea, for whom he scored one and set up another in a debut win vs. West Brom.
2. Luis Suarez (Barcelona)
Without the aforementioned Pedro -- as well as Neymar -- and with Lionel Messi having missed a penalty, Suarez stepped up as Barcelona earned an opening day win in La Liga at Athletic Bilbao, which also avenged the Spanish Super Cup loss. The Uruguayan's volley was the only goal of the game.
3. Luis Muriel (Sampdoria)
Earning a penalty and scoring twice within the first 31 minutes of the opening league game of the season is a good start, isn't it? Muriel began 2015-16 in superb style as Sampdoria eased to a 5-2 victory vs. Serie A newcomers Carpi. The 24-year-old Colombian is one to watch.
The Brazilian playmaker makes the Power Rankings top 10 for the second straight week after helping Bayern overcome a number of setbacks -- including conceding a goal after nine seconds -- to win at Hoffenheim. With his team trailing 1-0, Costa was involved in the German champion's equaliser before setting up Robert Lewandowski's late winner.
5. David Silva (Manchester City)
He didn't score or directly assist either of City's goals at Everton, but Silva was at the heart of everything his side did well. The Spaniard has been in imperious form as his club have opened their Premier League campaign with three straight wins. If he keeps this up, he'll contend for player of the year awards.
6. Callum Wilson (Bournemouth)
After Bournemouth went close but ultimately failed to score in their opening two Premier League games, Wilson showed the way with a fine hat trick as his club won at West Ham. Like his club, the 23-year-old is experiencing top-flight football for the first time, and this performance suggested he can thrive at this level.
7. Stevan Jovetic (Inter)
Having come on as an early substitute, Jovetic peppered the Atalanta goal before finally breaking through -- with his sixth shot of the game -- in second-half stoppage time as Inter earned a late win. The Montenegrin struggled for playing time at Manchester City but early success at his new club bodes well for his future.
The Armenian midfielder makes this list for the second week in a row after playing an integral part in another impressive Dortmund display, which sees Thomas Tuchel's side lead the Bundesliga at this early stage of the season. Mkhitaryan did not score in his side's 4-0 win at Ingolstadt but made a goal for Matthias Ginter.
9. Raheem Sterling (Manchester City)
He hasn't scored as yet, but quietly, Sterling has made an impressive start to his career at the Etihad Stadium. In doing so, he seems to have revitalised Aleksandar Kolarov, as the two combined for City's all-important opener vs. Everton. A salary of £49 million is a lot of money, but Sterling looks worthy of the price tag so far.
10. Cyril Thereau (Udinese)
OK, who predicted a 32-year-old journeyman would be the matchwinner when Juventus opened the defence of their Italian title? Thereau and his Udinese teammates well and truly spoiled The Old Lady's party with a stunning 1-0 win on Sunday, which was Juve's first home league loss since January 2013.
