AWC: Super Falcons finally depart for Namibia

The Nigerian contingent has been finally settled as the Edwin Okon's ladies head to Windhoek on Wednesday for the upcoming African Women Championship
Nigeria's senior women team will make their trip to Namibia for the African Women Championship on Wednesday as they finally received their entry visas to the host nation, Goal understands.

Kicksportsnews learnt the players and officials will fly to Lagos on Wednesday afternoon to connect with a flight to South Africa, before they travle to Windhoek.

The Nigerian ladies will be participating in the 9th eight-nation international women tournament taking place in Windhoek, Namibia from October 11-25.

The Super Falcons, who had participated in a record eight times and won the championship six times, have been grouped alongside hosts Namibia, Cote d'Ivoire and Zambia in Group A.

Nigeria will begin their campaign to regain the African title against Cote d'Ivoire on October 11 at 7pm Nigerian time.

The tournament is also an opportunity to qualify for the 2015 Fifa Women's World Cup in Canada.
