The Catalan club's proposed kit for 2015-16 has been
leaked in the local press and is proving unpopular with fans of the
Blaugrana on social media
The proposed design - radically different to the traditional vertical blaugrana stripes - was revealed by Catalan paper Sport on Tuesday and has already received a backlash from fans on social media.
Barca's traditional stripes have been a permanent fixture on the club's home shirt since 1910, with the Blaugrana previously having used a half-red, half-blue design for their first 11 years of existence.
That format was brought back to celebrate the Catalans' centenary in the 1998-99 campaign and then controversially used again 10 years later in 2008-09, which turned out to the most successful season in the club's history as they claimed a treble of Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League titles.
