Real Madrid prepare to sign Javier Hernandez to permanent deal

With three goals in just four league outings, Chicharito has convinced Real Madrid to loosen the purse strings...

After just four appearances in their famous white kit, Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid have been sufficiently impressed with Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez to want to tie him down to a permanent deal at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Daily Express says that there is an option-to-buy clause in the Manchester United man's loan deal that Los Blancos can choose to activate in the January transfer window -- but only if they are willing to part with 17 million pounds to get their man.
That amount might sound a bit steep for a 26-year-old who will likely just be used as an impact player off the bench, but word is that if the Red Devils are willing to drop their asking price down to around 12 million, Real will happily take the Mexican off Louis van Gaal's hands.
It's all Abate the Bosmans
It's been mentioned here before on Transfer Talk that Liverpool's right-back Glen Johnson is currently in contract limbo.

The England international's contract is up in the summer, and Brendan Rodgers and the rest of the Anfield hierarchy haven't said peep to Glen about his future -- leaving the 30-year-old free to speak to foreign clubs about a Bosman transfer as soon as Jan. 1 rolls around.

That's not to say Liverpool haven't been busy trawling the transfer market for bargain deal themselves, with The Mirror today linking the Reds with AC Milan's Ignazio Abate.
Abate, you see, is also in the final throes of his contract, and the paper suggests that the 27-year-old Italian international may be lured to Anfield for free next summer as a direct replacement for Johnson.
It's as though Liverpool would be subbing in Ignazio Abate for Glen Johnson!
Cech-ing out of Stamford Bridge
It's hardly a secret that Petr Cech isn't exactly enjoying playing second-fiddle to Thibaut Courtois in the Chelsea goal.
In fact, rumours have linked the Czech star to both Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco in recent months, but nothing has ever materialised.
TalkSPORT, however, thinks that he will be on his way to Besiktas -- quoting the 32-year-old's agent, Mithat Halis, saying: "We have not held talks yet. However, Chelsea have recently made an agreement with Besiktas. Chelsea have similar deals with Vitesse and other clubs.

"If Cech does become available Besiktas would become a potential destination."
If the Turkish league-leaders can indeed snare the talented custodian, it'll represent a pretty big coup for the club. Watch this space!
